According to Nassau County detectives, the 16-year-old male student at Kellenberg Memorial High School expressed his desire to conduct a violent act toward other students.
A classmate reported the threat, made Thursday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m., to the administration and the police were immediately notified.
A thorough investigation was conducted and the student was arrested without incident, police said.
The student was charged with making a terroristic threat and was scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, Oct. 4 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The specific type or nature of the threat has not been disclosed.
